Nestled in the heart of Venice on Calle Larga dei Bari, Bacaro Quebrado is a charming eatery that captures the essence of traditional Venetian dining with a modern twist. This cozy bacaro stands out not only for its carefully crafted cichetti and authentic pasta dishes but also for its welcoming atmosphere that feels like a true home away from home.
What strikes me first is the genuine warmth of the staff and the inviting, clean design that blends rustic charm with contemporary elegance. Whether you're popping in for a quick lunch or settling down for a relaxed dinner, Bacaro Quebrado delivers an experience that balances casual comfort with culinary finesse.
The menu is a highlight itself. From the perfectly cooked seafood pasta, rich with fresh shrimp and zucchini, to the best lasagna you can imagine, each dish is a testament to the kitchen’s dedication to quality and flavor. The baby octopus spaghetti and traditional cicchetti showcase the restaurant’s deep roots in Venetian cuisine, while the detailed English descriptions on the menu make it accessible for locals and travelers alike.
One of the most memorable aspects is how inclusive Bacaro Quebrado is—welcoming even four-legged guests with their own special treats. This small but thoughtful touch adds to the relaxed vibe and friendly hospitality that permeates the space.
Beyond the food and service, there’s an undeniable sense of community here. Locals gathering over cards and lively conversations create an atmosphere that feels steeped in Venetian tradition yet refreshingly lively. And if you’re lucky, an unexpected sight like a gondola shaped like a giant carrot floating near the canal will add a dose of quirk and local color to your evening.
For anyone craving authentic Venetian flavors with a side of genuine warmth, Bacaro Quebrado offers a memorable dining experience that delights both the palate and the soul. It’s a place where every bite tells a story and every visit feels like coming home.

This was the 4.time when I was in Venice and we found the perfect restaurat. We went there for a quick lunch and that was the best choise. They let our dogs join us and we could even order food for them. We ate a pizza and spagetthi with baby octopus. Drank a coke and a spritz select and for our dogs prossutto. All the taste, the size and the design of the meels and drinks were perfect! All the waiters were nice and polite. The place is clean and has a great design.

I had a really great experience at this restaurant. I ordered the pasta with zucchini and shrimp, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The shrimp were cooked just right, and the zucchini added a nice light touch to the dish. Overall, I’m very satisfied and would definitely come back again!

Best lasagna I have had. Amazing vibes as the people love working here and the locals were playing cards. It’s a small place but I went pretty late, so didn’t have any wait. They have a wide variety of cichettis ( added a picture of the cichetti menu, so people can take a look ) and the waiter was very nice. The menu was also very well designed with good English descriptions. Thanks a lot for the complimentary limoncello.

Went here with my partner for our first dinner in Venice. We had the seasonal entree and stuffed olive arancini’s, which were underwhelming but delicious nonetheless!!! Complimentary bread and biscuits were lovely and the service was welcoming and calm. For mains, we had the seafood pasta and red pesto pasta, both were great but the seafood pasta was outstanding!! Great experience overall

Great cicchetti and... a giant carrot in the canal! Fantastic bacaro! The service was super friendly and the traditional food was absolutely delicious. But the real surprise happened just as we stepped outside: right nearby, in the canal just a stone's throw from the place, we saw this crazy thing! A gondola that looks exactly like a giant orange carrot, complete with a green stem on the tip . There was no one on board, and half the street started laughing. Venice never ceases to amaze. Highly recommended both for a spritz and for the bizarre things you can spot in the neighborhood!

This is a true local gem. It’s small, but eating outside on the street during Christmas time made the experience special and different. The food was amazing — not typical restaurant food, but better than homemade in its own way. The seafood pasta was outstanding. I loved the homemade cheesecake so much I had two. The bacon pasta was fantastic as well. Sitting in the street, enjoying food like this, felt simple, warm, and unforgettable.

We went to a restaurant during our trip. The waiter was very friendly, and since the place was full, we waited outside for a bit — during that time, they kindly offered us champagne. The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was fast. The staff were all very cheerful and welcoming. The cicchetti I had were some of the best I’ve ever eaten in my life. I’ve tried them in other places too, but the taste here was truly special. Everyone was happy with their meals. Afterward, they treated us to dessert. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.
